Delicious Broccoli Salad

A very tasty healthy salad made with broccoli, bits of bacon, tangy red onion, sweet craisins and sunflower seeds. Great for a small group! Takes about 30 minutes to make. Serves 12.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups broccoli florets, chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 16 oz. bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup craisins
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, roasted and shelled

Creamy Dressing (Yum)

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 Tablespoon sugar
  • Salt and ground black pepper as needed

Directions

  1. Place the broccoli pieces in a large bowl. Add the chopped red onion, crumbled bacon, craisins, and sunflower seeds.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper as needed. Mix it well.
  3. Add the creamy dressing to the broccoli salad. Toss gently
  4. Refrigerate until ready to eat. Will keep in the refrigerator 1-2 days.
