A very tasty healthy salad made with broccoli, bits of bacon, tangy red onion, sweet craisins and sunflower seeds. Great for a small group! Takes about 30 minutes to make. Serves 12.
Ingredients
- 8 cups broccoli florets, chopped
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 16 oz. bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup craisins
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, roasted and shelled
Creamy Dressing (Yum)
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 3 Tablespoon sugar
- Salt and ground black pepper as needed
Directions
- Place the broccoli pieces in a large bowl. Add the chopped red onion, crumbled bacon, craisins, and sunflower seeds.
- In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper as needed. Mix it well.
- Add the creamy dressing to the broccoli salad. Toss gently
- Refrigerate until ready to eat. Will keep in the refrigerator 1-2 days.
