Easy Fluffy Drop Biscuits Recipe

Here is a quick and easy recipe for making fluffy biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbls baking powder
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk (or buttermilk)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

For Cheddar Bay biscuits, add shredded cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, and fresh parsley.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Lightly grease or spray a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Mix in butter and milk until just barely combined. 
  3. Scoop and drop balls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet. Leave about 2 inches between each biscuit. 
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden brown. 
  5. Remove from oven.
  6. If you’d like a buttery look, brush with melted butter.
